Community Invited to Help Clean Up Montgomery Triangle Park on Saturday
The sad, neglected public triangle bordering Montgomery Street, East Broadway and Samuel Dickstein Plaza is about to get some TLC.
A local resident, Fannie Ip, has organized a community cleanup event under the auspices of “It’s My Park Day” this coming Saturday. She’s teaming up with Partnerships for Parks and the owners of the new restaurant, Ernesto’s, which will be opening soon right across from the park-like space.
Here’s more from the Facebook invite:
Join our local community and Ernesto’s Restaurant for a day of clean up and planting!!!
We will be planting daffodils, crocuses and some alliums throughout the Triangle so we can use some extra hands and diggers. There will be something for all ages and skill levels to help with. Just show up and all tools, gloves and supplies will be provided by Partnerships for Parks.
Email MontgomeryTrianglePark@gmail.com to sign up!
Also send us your comments! We would love to hear your thoughts on the future for this park!!! This is the first step of the changes to come for the Park!
The event will take place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
