Rivington Street Restaurant Hemlock is Closing
Over the weekend, Diego Moya announced that his Lower East Side restaurant, Hemlock, will be closing at the end of the month.
In an Instagram post, he kept it short and sweet, writing, “We’re sad to announce that our last service will be Saturday the 28th of July. I’ve enjoyed working with my wonderful staff and couldn’t thank you all enough for the hard work you’ve put in. We’ve enjoyed sharing our passion with all of you and greatly appreciate the love and support we’ve received in the past year. Come celebrate with us one last time.”
Moya, a veteran of the kitchen at Casa Mono in Gramercy, built a welcoming, vegetable-forward restaurant at 65 Rivington St. Hemlock opened a little more than a year ago. We enjoyed a few great meals here; Moya is a talented chef with a lot of passion for what he does. We’re sorry to see Hemlock go.
